Some really great thinking that Cleve Killingsworth is doing over there at Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Keeping Our Promise
At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, we've made a promise to our members "to always put their health first." While we keep this promise, in part, through our own prevention, wellness, and care management programs, we recognize that our members' health ultimately depends on the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the health care delivery system.
Keeping our promise means working to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the health care our members receive. That's why we are changing the way we pay for health care services to reward the quality—not quantity—of care our members receive. Another step we are taking to improve the quality and safety of care includes supporting the work of doctors and hospitals. And we're working with community leaders and organizations to improve the health care system. We've also created A Blueprint for Transforming Massachusetts Health Care that shares our ideas for creating a high-quality, high-value health care system.
You can do your part to help improve health care as well, by making better choices for you and your family, becoming an engaged patient, and ensuring that you and your loved ones get the right care, at the right time, in the right place.
